The resistor is a forced-cooled resistor using flowing deionized water (or distilled water). The inlet water temperature ranges from -40°C to 60°C. When installing the resistor, the water inlet should be at the bottom and the water outlet at the top. Before use, the cooling water should be turned on first, and the power should only be supplied after the water flow reaches the required level and fills the interior of the resistor. When stopping use, the power should be turned off first, followed by the water supply, to prevent the resistor from burning dry and getting damaged. It features high power, compact size, stable operation, and safety reliability. It is suitable for various high-power power supplies and the “AC-DC-AC” traction inverter GTO components in electric locomotives for absorption circuits.
Water-Cooled Aluminum Housed Resistors
Water-cooled aluminum housed resistors have a wide range of applications in various fields. Here are some specific application cases: Power Systems: In high-voltage direct current (HVDC) and alternating current (AC) transmission systems, water-cooled aluminum housed resistors are used to absorb overvoltage and current, protecting transformers and other equipment. Motor Drive Systems: In industrial applications driven by motors, these resistors are used in braking and energy recovery systems to improve energy efficiency and reduce heat generation. Traction Inverters: In electric locomotives and rail transit, water-cooled aluminum housed resistors are utilized in the absorption circuits of "AC-DC-AC" traction inverters to stabilize power supply and enhance system reliability. Welding Equipment: In arc welding and laser welding equipment, water-cooled aluminum housed resistors are used to control the heat generated during the welding process, ensuring stability under high loads. Testing Equipment: In electrical testing and laboratory equipment, water-cooled aluminum housed resistors are employed to simulate loads and conduct withstand voltage tests to verify the performance and safety of devices. Renewable Energy: In wind and solar power generation systems, water-cooled aluminum housed resistors are used to control the flow of energy in inverters, ensuring stable operation of the system. These application cases demonstrate the superior performance and reliability of water-cooled aluminum housed resistors in high-power and high-temperature environments.
